Gateshead-based e-business development agency, The North East Regional Portal has boosted its management team with the appointment of Carolyn Lynch as Finance and Corporate Resources Manager. Carolyn joined the company in March as bookkeeper and made such a positive impact the company asked her to join the management team. Responsible for the in-house accounts and administration systems, Carolyn is responsible for the company’s budget as well as providing guidance for the budgets of over 10 projects managed by the Regional Portal. Carolyn will also look after the planning, delivery and monitoring of policies and procedures for all company legal and compliance and risk management issues as well as managing the company’s human resources team. Born and bred in the region, 47-year-old Carolyn has held a number of accounting roles within several well known North East-based companies over the past 30 years. She said: “I am looking forward to the challenge of this exciting and varied role. “I am particularly looking forward to getting involved with managing the budgets of the project work. The Regional Portal manages a range of projects designed to help North East firms discover and adopt e-business.
